Combined travel narrative and journal "kept by Miss Sallie Mott for her cousin Mrs. Martha Lowrey." The text records a trip made from Philadelphia to Portugal (aboard the ship Richmond) and return, including an extended stay in Lisbon and a visit to Cintia. Mott was accompanied on the trip by a Dr. Thompson and Edward Tilghman of Philadelphia.
